How To Update Your Space For Less Than $100
Stencils Add Instant Personal Style To A Space
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! Punch up a room with an accent wall in a dramatic color and a fun stencil pattern. It's unbelievable how simple it is to give your space a fresh new look simply with paint and pattern. Today we're going to look at a home office makeover that uses a bold hue and our trendy Peacock Feather Allover Stencil to bring it to life. Come take a look... We'd like you to meet Jacqueline, a fashion and lifestyle blogger behind Pumps and Parties. Jacqueline had a small space in her home that she was using as an office. It was a plain white space that lacked the personality that she desired. Jacqueline combed Pinterest for inspiration until she spotted this beauty. The dark accent wall and gold Peacock pattern instantly caught her attention. She knew she wanted to recreate this style for her home office. She selected her color palette which included Deep Onyx by Glidden and Ralph Lauren Metallic Gold. Then she started painting. She taped off her white wall and painted it Deep Onyx by Glidden, a mesmerizing shade of black. To recreate Peacock pattern she spotted in her Inspiration, Jacqueline chose to use a stencil. She made a bee line to our website to browse our peacock patterns. Jacqueline commented, "The stencil is from Cutting Edge Stencils. They are my favorite company to buy stencils from." So sweet! After looking over the patterns, she chose the Peacock Feather Allover Stencil. With her stencil in hand she was ready to start the project. Jacqueline chose to paint the pretty feather pattern in Ralph Laurent's Metallic Gold. She used blue painter's tape to hold the Peacock Feather Allover Stencil pattern in place and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern on the wall. Jacqueline used our clip-on stencil level to help ensure the pattern is evenly placed on the wall. She noted, "You definitely want a leveler. It helps you line up your stencil. "After each section was painted, she would un-tape the stencil and reposition until she was happy with the pattern. Jacqueline chose to stop the pattern about two-thirds of the way up the wall. It was a personal preference.
Once her accent wall was stenciled, Jacqueline was ready to complete her home office. She chose decor elements that were white and black to add contrast to the dark wall. Black and white wall art was also hung on the non-stenciled wall. Here is her new and stylish office space.
We love how the dramatic color and pattern painted on the accent wall brings this small space to life.
Jacqueline commented, " I was so excited to do this Peacock Stencil and I love the way it turned out." So do we!
