Stenciling an Accent Wall in a Nursery Using the Moroccan Dream Stencils Creates a Lovely Space
Happy Monday, my stencil lovin' DIY mommies! We are just gushing with excitement like a kid in a candy shop here at Cutting Edge Stencils! Why? Because today we have the sweetest little girl's nursery to share with you! It might even be so sweet that you might get a toothache just looking at it! OUCH!
Meet Jill, a super crafty mama and the blogger responsible for Mommy Vignettes, and her newly revealed Moroccan Dream Stenciled nursery! I told you it was SWEET! Please don't bill us for those dental expenses. I'm sure you are going to agree with us that this nursery is simply stunning!
On her blog, Jill walks her readers through her little girl's nursery transformation. This is what she was working with in the beginning. It was your basic beige room. Of course, it's not hideous but it lacked color, pattern, and newborn fun. So Jill decided to give it a complete overhaul. Jill's goal was to keep the room a neutral color but to add in soft feminine accents. Working with a blank canvas can be fun and exciting!
And WAH-LA, what a difference the stencil makes on her nursery accent wall! As Jill mentions on her blog, "We wanted to keep the wall neutral, but I wanted it to feel girly too but not in a way that we couldn't change it down the road if we wanted to." A stencil is the perfect option then! Unlike wallpaper, they can easily change the stenciled accent wall by painting over it in the future. Although, it's so gorgeous, it's hard to believe they'll ever be tired of it!
To get this look consider using Benjamin Moore's revere pewter HC-172 and simply white OC-117. This classic combination of hues is perfect for a baby's bedroom! Then add the perfect pop of color with soft feminine accent colors like pastel pink and soft yellow. The results are absolutely gorgeous! And I'm sure Jill is probably feeling like a superstar mommy with her stencil accomplishment! She says, "I am so proud of this room. I love that we did it ourselves."
