One Home, Three Stencils, Four Decor Projects where we saw how Erin used various patterns to decorate her home. We are back at it again because we just can't resist the urge to tour a stenciled home. So are you ready to see how you can use stencils in multiple rooms of your home and make them look absolutely amazing in each space? Great, then let's get started!
We'd like to introduce you to Rita, the creative DIYer behind the blog called
Suburbs Mama. Rita is a stay-at-home mom who is trying to juggle her three young kids and her DIY projects to transform her home. Rita managed to use two of our stencils throughout her home in FOUR rooms! Yup, you read that right!
Moroccan Dream Stenciled Closet
Her fab stenciling craze all began with the
Moroccan Dream stencil and her desire to have a gorgeous closet that was all her own. Rita had always shared her closet with her husband until they decided to build him his own. With the space all to herself, Rita was in full DIY glory. She painted the wall with Valspar's Pelican and then stenciled the popular Moroccan pattern in Behr's Designer White. The stencil is very subtle but it certainly adds character to this little haven. We think Rita's stenciled closet looks awesome!
Moroccan Dream Stenciled Living Room
Next up was the living room. We love seeing our DIY fans reuse their stencils in different rooms, so we were thrilled when we spotted our
Moroccan Dream stencil painted in Rita's living room. Rita painted the walls in a color similar to Benjamin Moore's
bunny gray 2124-50, a soft gray hue, and then she stenciled the beautiful pattern in a semi-gloss version of the same color. The stencil in this space is soft and it glistens when the light catches it. We think it's so pretty!
Moroccan Dream Stenciled Playroom/Guest Room
It's a good thing our stencils are reusable because with two projects under her belt, it appears that Rita was bitten by the stenciling bug. For her third stencil project, she decided to reuse her
Moroccan Dream stencil in her playroom/guestroom. This fab makeover was a result of the kids toys taking over the house. She needed a place to put the toys and realized that her guest room was only used a couple of times a year. The walls were painted a creamy white and she selected a fresh and inviting shade of green, like Benjamin Moore’s
pear green 2028-40 for the stencil. Then she accented the space with red and green storage bins. How cute is this play space?
Rita had to make sure the room still accommodated her out-of-town guests so she set up a day bed which also functions as a seating area for the kids. It's a perfect use of the dual space.
Polka Dot Stenciled Kids Room
Should we start calling Rita a stencil queen yet? Maybe after you see her fourth stencil project. Rita decided to update their shared bedroom, once she moved all their toys into the new playroom. She painted the walls a color similar to Benjamin Moore's
wales green 2028-50, a vibrant yellow-green hue. Then she stenciled the playful
Polka Dot pattern in a color similar to Benjamin Moore's
seahorse 2028-70. It's an adorable shared bedroom.
