Perk Up A Tired Powder Room With Pattern

Paint and Stencils Can Refresh A Tired Powder Room

Good morning, my DIY bathroom renovators! Does your bathroom need a bit of a refresher? It's true that renovating a bathroom can be pricey and time consuming. It's also true that you can get a stylish look for less especially when you use a stecnil. That's where Cutting Edge Stencils steps in. Paint, stencil patterns, and a few carefully chosen decor accesories can totally transform the look of a dull space. Today we have a bathroom refresh that uses our new Birch Forest Allover stencil. Let's take a look! Cutting Edge Stencils shares a DIY stenciled powder room using the Birch Forest Allover stencil pattern. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/allover-stencil-birch-forest We'd like to welcome Monica, the creative DIYer behind the blog East Coast Creative. Monica admits that her powder room was hideous and in desperate need of a makeover. She also said that its odd shape was another reason she procrastinated its makeover. Here's what her powder room looked like before its refresh. A powder room before its stenciled makeover. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/allover-stencil-birch-forest Rather than give the powder room a complete makeover, Monica opted to give it more of a perk up. Her perk up included subtle decor changes. First up, she decided to keep the pear paint color but add a stenciled accent wall. Monica painted our Birch Forest Allover stencil, one of our most popular nature-inspired patterns, in a soft white. She used blue painter's tape to help hold the stencil in place and then painted the tree pattern using a dense foam roller. Here is Monica's perked up powder room! Once the Birch Forest pattern was painted on the wall, Monica crated a mirror using a piece of wood from an old wagon side. Do you love this rustic look? We love how these earthy prints look against this pretty patterned accent wall! To complete the room refresh, Monica added a piece of wall art. Using an old piece of art, she recycled it into a custom piece of art with one of her favorite verses from an old hymn. To recreate this project, check out this stenciled art tutorial.
