A Stenciled Accent Wall Enhances the Look of a Small Home Office!

Good Morning, my DIY office organizers! Does your home office feel like it's racked with clutter? More and more people are working from home these days and they're looking for nooks within their homes to set up shop. Just because the space is small doesn't mean the decorating process should be ignored. Cutting Edge Stencils is here to help you spruce up that small home office by adding a stenciled accent wall. But before we share the big reveal for this little space, we want to walk you through the transformation. Ragan's client had a lackluster and crowded teeny tiny home office. The floor was constantly being used to compensate for the lack of desk and storage space. Here is the small office space before its makeover. Ragan stepped in with some ideas to help make the most of the small space by increasing its functionality and design. To organize the space she added custom-made built-ins, a day bed, and increased the size of the desk. Once she had the storage issue resolved, she went to work on updating the decor. Ragan is a big fan of stenciled accent walls. In fact, she shared her passion for stenciled accent walls on Fusion TV in Oregon. This home office was used as an example to prove that an accent wall can enhance a space. See for yourself below. To create the accent wall, Ragan painted the wall a neutral tan color similar to Benjamin Moore's mustard seed 222. Then she stenciled our Casablanca Allover pattern in a color similar to Benjamin Moore's buttered yam AF-230. She used our clip-on stencil level to ensure the stencil was even at all times and a spray adhesive to hold the stencil in place. Then she applied the Moroccan pattern using a dense foam roller. All of these items are included in our Stencil Essentials Kit.
