A Stenciled Nursery Using the Flock of Cranes Wall Pattern

We'd like to introduce you to Amanda, a loving Mama and wedding blogger behind Ruffled. Amanda started her blog back in 2008 as a space where she could share style-infused ideas for weddings. Well let's just say that when she found out she was expecting, this trend setting mama carried her sophisticated sense of style into the nursery. The parents-to-be decided not to find out the gender of the baby so that it would be a fun surprise. She quickly started searching for inspiration boards to design her gender neutral nursery. Amanda commented, "When planning our gender neutral nursery, I found most of my inspiration from non-baby related images. "
With some visuals in hand, Amanda was ready to get to work. Her goal was to incorporate bright pops of color into the space. She wanted a breezy summer mood with white, royal blue, aqua, chartreuse, yellow, and metallics. To create the perfect bright and airy retreat, she chose to paint an accent wall behind the crib. Our Flock of Cranes Allover Stencil a popular bird design, was the perfect pattern for the accent wall. She painted it in Martha Stewart Metallic Paints in Silver over the existing white wall. She used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern. The remaining three walls were painted white. After the walls were painted, Amanda added some hand-crafted DIY projects along with colorful decor. Are you ready for the big reveal? Here is Amanda's bright and airy nursery.
