Kashia and her husband move a lot and there have been a lot of decorating rules with each of their rentals. That was until recently when they relocated to Utah. They are officially planting their roots and calling it home. The thought of staying in a home for a period longer than eight months had Kashia overjoyed. She quickly tossed out every paint and decorating rule that was ever enforced and began to make the place her own. The first stop was the living room since the family spends the most time there. Here is the living room before it was stenciled... She fell in love with the look of patterned accent walls, and she knew it would be the perfect way to add personality to her new home. She ordered our Tamara Trellis Allover Stencil, one of our newer Moroccan designs. First she painted over the red wall using a color similar to Benjamin Moore's simply white OC-117. Together they found the project easy peasy! They used blue painters tape to adhere her stencil to the wall. Then she used a foam roller to paint the stencil pattern. Kashia chose to paint the stencil pattern in a color similar to Benjamin Moore's teal tone 663, a rich mid-tone teal that evokes the cool, serene waters of the Caribbean.
