Coral & Navy Stenciled Nursery

We'd like to introduce you to Jen, the proud mama and creative DIYer behind the blog The Welche Abode. Jen and her husband bought a new home last year and have been fixing it up with one DIY project at a time. One of the first rooms on the list, was the nursery for the new baby girl they were about to welcome. Here is the boring white bedroom before its makeover. A before shot of the DIY stenciled accent wall in a nursery.http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/allover-stencil Plain white but with lots of potential especially when the mama-to-be is an avid DIYer. First she chose a color palette of coral and navy, a very trendy color scheme. Since she was starting with a blank white canvas, she decided to add a stenciled accent wall. She selected our Trellis Allover Stencil, one of our most popular Moroccan patterns. She painted it in Sherwin Williams' Pink Flamingo, a rosy shade of coral, over her existing white walls. Jen used painters tape to adhere the stencil to the wall and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern. Jen shared this tip for painting the edges, "Then I used Q-tips dipped in paint to finish the edges, this way the pattern could go to the edge of the wall." Here's a shot of her working through the stencil process. Are you ready for it? Here is Jen's little girl's nursery. She had this to say about her newly stenciled space, "Just in time for Ellie's arrival the nursery came together. My favorite feature is the stenciled wall, it came out great." Absolutely adorable!
