A Stenciled Nautical Bathroom Makeover

Paint and Stencils Can Makeover An Old Bathroom

Good morning, my DIY bathroom renovators! Guests are coming in just a couple of weeks and we bet that guest bathroom needs a bit of a refresher. Renovating a bathroom is not always an option because it can be pricey and time consuming. When you need a quick refresher on a limited budget, Cutting Edge Stencils recommends stenciling. Paint, stencil patterns, and a few carefully chosen decor accessories can totally transform the look of a dull space. Today we have a bathroom makeover that uses one of our nautical stencils, the Perfect Catch Allover. Let's take a look! Stephanie has been giving her fixer-up of a home a makeover with one DIY project at a time. Her most recent project was her half bathroom which she admits was in desperate need of a makeover. Here's what her bathroom looked like before. Before shot of half bathroom. Stephanie said, "I want to create a bathroom that is inspired by old ships but isn’t cheesy. I plan to use wood and brass elements mixed with a grassy green and metallic gold to keep the room feeling authentic yet modern." With her inspiration in mind, Stephanie put together a mood board to help pull her decor ideas together. Here was her plan: A Nautical half bathroom mood board using the Perfect Catch Stencil. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/perfect-catch-stencil-beach-decor First up, painting the walls. She painted the walls an off-white. Then she chose to use our Perfect Catch Allover stencil pattern to enhance her nautical theme. She used blue painter's tape to help hold the stencil in place and then painted the rope pattern in a metallic gold using a dense foam roller.
