She liked the idea of painting the contemporary pattern with an ombre effect. Ombre is a blending of colors to create a fading effect. So when talking about ombre painted walls, it’s basically blending 2 or more colors on the wall. Margot started the project by spraying the reusable stencil with a removable spray adhesive to hold it in place on the wall. This worked best in keeping the large geometric pattern in place. Then she used a stencil brush to paint the pattern. She was careful not to load too much paint on her brush because this would have caused the design to bleed. She also found the Clip-on Stencil level to be really helpful in keeping the pattern straight on the wall.
