Wall stencils are easy to use and affordable. Let's take a look at a bathroom makeover using one of our tribal stencil patterns, the Japanese Peonies Allover Stencil.
We'd like to introduce Carson Price, a self-taught painter and blogger behind Carson Price Blog. Her work focuses on nudes on paper and canvas, abstracts, and impressionistic florals and landscapes. Before she began painting canvases, she completed her own share of creative DIY projects. She recently shared one of her stencil projects along with her tips and tricks for stenciling in the post, 5 Tips for Stenciling. Carson had a plain and simple bathroom that needed a dose of pattern and a splash of personality. A wall stencil is an easy and affordable way to add your ideal mix of color and pattern. Carson browsed Pinterest for inspiration. "I fell in love with this Anthropologie wallpaper, and used it as the inspiration for my Peony Bathroom." Since wallpaper can be a pricey hassle, Carson chose to use a stencil to achieve a similar look. She browsed our online stencil collection and fell in love with Japanese Peonies Allover Stencil pattern, a beautiful floral pattern. With her stencil in hand, Carson was ready to get started on her bathroom makeover! She painted the bathroom walls a soft green hue. Then she used painters tape to hold the pattern in place and decided to paint the flower pattern in four different colors. Carson used a different stencil brush for each color. *Stenciling Tip* It's best to use a dabbing motion or a light circular motion with your brush. Just dab or swirl in a light sweeping circular motion, covering all of the design. After she painted each section, she would carefully remove the stencil to reveal her Japanese Peonies Allover Stencil pattern. After all the stenciling was complete, Carson added a new vanity and mirror. Ready to see how it all turned out? Here is Carson's stenciled bathroom. Doesn't the Japanese Peonies Allover Stencil look so amazing in this space? We think so! And here is Carson's custom wall art paired with her beautiful wall stencil!
