Indian Inlay Stenciled Floating Shelf
Anam had a purple floating shelf that was functional but didn't really match her decor. Rather than toss it to the curb, she chose to paint it white. The fresh coat of paint was like looking at a blank canvas. She had previously stenciled several furniture and craft projects with the
Indian Inlay Stencil kit and felt it would be perfect for this little shelf. Anam chose to paint the bone inlay pattern in coral and gold. She used painter's tape to hold the stencil in place and painted the pattern using a stencil brush alternating the two paint colors. Anam commented, "Super easy as always and even if I’ve used this stencil multiple times I always get excited when I look at the end result." DIY Butterfly Stenciled Artwork
Next up, Anam had stumbled upon this lovely gold framed painting. The painting itself was dated but the gold frame had a ton a character and detail. Anam put her creative thinking cap on and decided to give this old piece of artwork a face-lift rather than toss it aside. First she the canvas a beautiful shade of majestic purple using Americana Gloss Enamels. After painting two coats of the eye-catching hue, Anam was ready to kick it up a notch. The wall where this painting was going to hang already features a stenciled pattern so she wanted to make sure her DIY artwork was not too busy. She decided to use one of our pretty yet simple butterfly stencils. All stencil purchases include a free stencil and this happen to be included in Anam's stencil purchase. 4 piece Butterfly Stencil Kit. She used painter's tape to hold the stencil in place and painted the pattern using a stencil brush in Liquid Gold Gilding. That was it! She let the stencil dry and hung her custom piece of art. Anam commented, " How cute and easy was this project?"
