The first things she did was paint the space Annapolis Gray to match the rest of the house and then she reupholstered the chairs with a Nate Berkus print. Then she stumbled upon Cutting Edge Stencils and it was love at first sight! Adding a fun wall stencil was the perfect way to add pattern to the space. She browsed the website and fell in love with our Tribal Arrows Allover Stencil, a trendy arrow pattern. Colleen commented, "I wanted something modern, simple, and minimal, to go with the mid-century feel of the kids' playroom. "

With her stencil in hand, Colleen was ready to start stenciling! She used blue painters tape to adhere the stencil to the wall and a stencil brush to paint the pattern.

Colleen painted the tribal pattern using chalkboard paint that she had leftover from another project. To ensure the pattern was straight, she used our clip-on stencil level. After each section was painted, she would un-tape the stencil and reposition so she could stencil the entire wall.
