After six years of using and abusing her white kitchen chairs, they were begging for a makeover. Here is what they looked like before. A plain white kitchen chair before its stenciled makeover. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/nagoya-furniture-stencil This simple white kitchen chair was just waiting to be stenciled! The seats of the chairs had been worn away by the portable booster seats she had used for her kids. Bre wanted a simple solution for her worn chair problem. That's when her stencil lightbulb went off! She decided to stencil the seats of the chairs. Bre browsed our furniture and craft stencils and landed on the Nagoya Small Craft Stencil, a fun geometric pattern. When the seat was dry Bre was ready for the fun part, stenciling! She positioned the stencil in the center of the seat and used a bit of painters tape to hold it in place. Bre painted the geometric pattern in Americana Multi-Surface Paint in Cottonball using a dense foam roller. Dip your stencil brush into the paint. Brush off the excess paint onto your folded paper towel until the brush looks almost dry. The key to stenciling is using as little paint as possible. Too much paint will cause the design to bleed and smudge. Next you will paint the design onto the table with the stencil brush. To complete the pattern, you'll need to reposition the stencil. Simply pick up the stencil, align it, and continue painting the pattern.
