Easy Holiday Decorating Ideas Using Stencils
Stencils Make Decorating For the Holidays Easy and Fun
Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! We hope you've been enjoying all of the DIY Holiday crafts that we've shared this week. Ever since we teamed with Stephanie, from Casa Watkins, on a stenciled craft challenge we knew these clever home decor ideas would help ignite your creativity.
What is the Create & Share: Holiday Stenciled Craft Challenge? Each month Stephanie holds a Create & Share competition where she challenges her super creative blogger pals to a friendly little craft-off. This month they chose to partner with Cutting Edge Stencils using our Holiday Craft Stencils. Each participant was tasked with creating a unique home decor project. The projects are in and the results are full of Holiday cheer! Be sure to check out the DIY projects and enter the special stencil giveaway.
This week we will be sharing the projects on our blog and providing links to all of the participating bloggers so feel free be inspired by their creativity.
Project #1: Stenciled Reindeer Art
Meet Tiffany, the creative gal from Our House Down the Lane. Tiffany has fond memories of sparkling Christmas lights growing up so our whimsical Reindeer Craft Stencil had her reminiscing. She bought a black stretched canvas from a local craft store. She painted the pattern in Glorious Gold from DecoArt’s Dazzling Metallics and then went to work embellishing her project with lights. Check out her blog for the complete step-by-step tutorial and be sure to enter the giveaway!
Project #2: Mitten Stenciled Hot Cocoa Tray
Next up we have Sharon, the DIY talent behind Pretty Practical Home. Sharon was casually browsing her local hobby store when she spotted a simple white tray. Since she had seen variations of hot cocoa bars across Pinterest, she thought this was a great time to create her own. She selected our Mittens Craft Stencil and painted the wintry pattern in red. Her project turned out adorable!Project #3: Fancy Christmas Stenciled Art
We'd like to welcome back Katy, the creative DIY blogger behind A Shade of Teal. Katy browsed our Holiday Stencil Collection and selected the Fancy Christmas Trees Craft Stencil. Then she gathered up some remnant pieces of wood to create a piece of Christmas art. She painted the festive pattern in white and embellished it with some white glitter. Katy placed her home-made Holiday cheer on her buffet. She had this to say about her stencil project, "I love how it turned out, simple yet rustic looking. Its fits perfect with the rest of my decor."Project #4: Stenciled Chalkboard Door Hanger
Let's give a warm hello to April, the creative DIYer behind Uncookie Cutter. She had a blank space above her windows in her recreation room. After browsing our new collection she thought the Christmas Ornaments Craft Stencil could easily dress up that blank space. She purchased melamine lined board and painted it silver then she was ready to stencil the ornament pattern. April used command strips to hang her finished project. She commented, "That was it! Another easy project with a huge impact thanks to Cutting Edge Stencils."- Shop our stencil designs and find the perfect stencil for your project!
