Jazz Up An Old Kitchen Floor With A Tile Stencil
Give An Old Floor A Budget Friendly New Look Using Wall Stencils
Good morning, my
Cutting Edge Stencils friends! If
you're looking for an affordable and stylish way to spruce up your kitchen, consider painting your floor with a stencil pattern. Our
floor stencils can do wonders especially when used on old dated linoleum floors! Today we’re going to share a kitchen floor makeover that was enhanced with our
Abbey Tile Stencil. Come take a look...
We'd like to introduce Analia Pastori, an interior designer, Cutting Edge Stencils fan, and owner of
The Workshop Furniture. Analia owns an upcycled furniture store that specializes in farmhouse and shabby chic decor in San Diego, CA. This creative DIYer had linoleum flooring in her kitchen. Here is what it looked like before.
The flooring was drab and dated so after seeing several painted floors on Instagram, Analia decided to give it a shot. She browsed our large collection of
tile stencils and selected our new
Abbey Tile Pattern. This beautiful design was inspired by trendy cement tile patterns.
The first thing Analia did was clean her floor to ensure there wasn't any debris and then she primed it. Cleaning and prepping the floor is key to completing a painted floor that will last for years.
After the primer had dried then she applied a coat of warm gray floor paint.
The floor dried and Analia was ready to start
stenciling! She used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern in a darker shade of gray. Analia purchased four
cement tile stencils to keep her project moving along quickly.
After each section was complete, Analia would un-tape the stencil and reposition so she could paint the entire floor.
Once the entire floor was stenciled, Analia applied a three coats of sealer to increase durability.
Once the floor was complete, Analia waited several days to move her furniture back into the room. Are you ready to see how it all turned out? Here is her newly stenciled kitchen floor.
Analia said, " Stenciled floors are the best. I love the design so much! So happy with my stenciled floors!" Let's flood you with some more eye-candy.
We think she did an amazing job transforming an old linoleum floor using a stencil and paint. Don't you agree?
