f our stencil designs. Today we're sharing how to to turn trash to treasure using reclaimed wood and our
Abundance Mandala Stencil from our
Mandala Stencils.
We'd like you to welcome back Greg, one of the Cutting Edge Stencils owners and a creative DIYer. Greg found a piece of teak driftwood laying on the side of the road. The weathered wood was part of an old table top that had broken. Greg saw some DIY potential in the piece and scooped it up. He decided to turn it into a piece of driftwood art using a pretty Mandala pattern. Watch this short video as Greg shows fans how easy it is to stencil a piece of wood using a

Let's walk through the steps for completing this project. Here is the table top that Greg spotted sitting in trash.
The first thing he did was clean off the reclaimed wood to ensure there was no debris that would get stuck under the stencil or make the paint peel.
After the wood was prepped and ready to go, Greg decided to use one of our new
Mandala Stencils for this fun project. He selected the
Abundance Mandala Stencil.
With his gorgeous Mandala pattern in hand he was ready for the fun part,
stenciling! Greg chose to use the 24" medallion for this project. He sprayed the stencil with spray adhesive and placed it on top of the wood.
Then he evenly loaded the dense foam roller with white paint.
Greg made sure he rolled off any excess paint on a piece of paper towel. Too much paint will cause the design to bleed. Then he painted the mandala design.
Greg used a stencil brush to fill in any spaces that he missed with the roller.
Once the entire design was painted, Greg lifted the stencil back to reveal the pattern.
