Steal These Looks From Horchow Using Stencils

Stencils and Color Combinations to Steal These Home Decor Looks from Horchow!

Happy Friday, my DIY decorating friends! Cutting Edge Stencils is curious- do you have a little Friday fever? You know, is your mind wandering towards your weekend plans or are you lazily browsing home decor sites? Speaking of home decor sites, we just can't seem to get enough of one of our new favorite home decor sites, Horchow. We love browsing through the site and spotting all the pretty patterns and gorgeous sea of colors. In fact, just the other day we shared this gorgeous blue living room on facebook: See how you steal the look of your favorite Horchow decor items using stencils. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/collections/wall-stencils-stencil-designs Remember? How could you forget! Of course, the only thing more memorable than the decor were the $$$ noted next to each of these pretty items. So that got us thinking about when we told you how to steal the look of some of our favorite West Elm looks using stencils. We are back at it again! This time we're going to use our stencils and Benjamin Moore paint colors to recreate the Horchow looks we love. Let's get started...

Stolen Item No. 1: Blue Ming Dining Room

We read that blue is the new home decor neutral on Elle Decor and after spotting this gorgeous Blue Ming Dining Room on Horchow, we can totally see what all the hype is about. We love the look of this chevron-striped rug, and it works because it's the same shade of blue as the chairs. The sky blue for the walls is just right for an unexpected pop of color against the dark woods and deep indigos. Then the splash of red found in the quartet of coral prints provide the perfect accent color. STEAL THE LOOK: Did you know that rug carries a $1,069 price tag? No need to rub your eyes because you read that price correctly. If $1,069 sounds like it's outside your price range (just a little) then we got your back on this one! Buy a plain white or off-white rug. Some of our fans have had success at finding inexpensive rugs at Ikea. Then paint our Ikat Zig Zag ($39.95) in Benjamin Moore's jet black 2120-10 to get a similar look. Oh, and see those lovely coral prints, priced at $225 each? You could totally recreate those using our Coral Stencil ($12.95) and Benjamin Moore's china red CW-310.

Stolen Item No. 2: Sheridan Home Office

Who doesn't love a little sparkle and pattern in their home office? You know we do! That's why it was love at first sight when we spotted the Sheridan home office! It's as much home as office, thanks to some of these gorgeous decor items. The Caroline curtains have a champagne tint and those hard working tootsies can take a break on the hand-knotted Calm Leopard rug. STEAL THE LOOK: All that sparkle comes attached to a bling'd price tag. Don't let this get you down. We're totally confident that we can recreate the curtains and the rug for a fraction of the price. For the curtains, you'll need to purchase simple white curtain panels. Then paint our Entwined Allover Stencil for $39.95 in a shimmery shade of paint like Benjamin Moore's golden thread CSP-920. Same thing for the rug. Buy a plain white or off-white rug and then paint our Leopard Skin Allover stencil ($39.95) in Benjamin Moore's cement gray 2112-60 to get a similar look.

Stolen Look No. 3: Callisto Bedroom

The second we spotted this bedroom, we were swept off our feet. The hand-embroidered bed linens showcase airy and intricate applique work in cream and navy. Simply put, it's gorgeous. But one small pillow can cost $390. Ouch! DIY stencil projects to steal this dining room decor spotted on Horchow. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/wallpaper-stencil-athena

STEAL THE LOOK: Don't crawl back under the bed covers after seeing this price tag. You could recreate that adorable pillow using stencils for a fraction of the cost. To steal this look, use our Athena Allover stencil ($39.95) in a deep shade of blue like Benjamin Moore's midnight navy 2067-10. Then complete the look of your room by stenciling a rug similar to the Panthea Weave Rug using our Casablanca Allover stencil.
