Steal These Nautical Home Decor Looks

Stencils to Steal These Nautical Home Decor Looks from Pottery Barn!

Welcome back, my DIY decorating friends! Cutting Edge Stencils is super excited about the warm weather temps that have been hitting Northern NJ lately. It has totally put us into the Summer spirit. In fact, as we browse our favorite home decor sites, like Pottery Barn, we're spotting all the nautical patterns. So that got us thinking about using our stencils and Benjamin Moore paint colors to recreate the Pottery Barn nautical looks we love. Let's get started...

Stolen Item No. 1: Anchor Wall Panel

Hook, line, and sinker! We have a serious nautical crush on this Anchor Wall Panel. Anchor your wall art with this wood piece, which is casual by design but stylish enough to make a statement. STEAL THE LOOK: Did you know that wall panel carries a $199 price tag? No need to rub your eyes because you read that price correctly. If $199 sounds like it's outside your price range (just a little) then we got your back on this one! Kelli from Lolly Jane built a gorgeous piece of wall art using a wood pallet and our stencil. Her tutorial is the perfect example for creating this Anchor Wall Panel. Once you have your pallet put together, paint it using Benjamin Moore's black beauty 2128-10. Then stencil it using our Anchor Stencil ($22.95 for a large) in Benjamin Moore's simply white OC-117 to get a similar look.

Stolen Item No. 2: Coral Pillow Sham

Who doesn't love a splash of red and coral in their bedroom? You know we do! The delicate coral motif on this Coral Pillow Sham lends a summery feel to the bedroom. A DIY nautical pillow using the Coral Craft Stencil. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/coral-stencil-beach-style-decor

STEAL THE LOOK: That pretty little pillow sham comes with a not so pretty or little price tag. Don't let this get you down. We're totally confident that we can recreate it for a fraction of the price. Purchase a plain white pillow sham, like this one from Ikea for $6.99. Then paint our Coral Craft Stencil ($18.95) in an earthy, warm red hue like Benjamin Moore's bricktone red 2005-30.

Stolen Look No. 3: Starfish Rug

Staring might not be polite but the second we spotted this home office, we couldn't help ourselves. The beautiful Starfish Rug is truly a treasure inspired by the sea and is perfect for any space in a home. Simply put, it's gorgeous. But a large rug can cost $849. Ouch! STEAL THE LOOK: Before you cast this one back into the sea based on that price tag, we have an idea! You could recreate a similar looking rug using a stencil for a fraction of the cost. To steal this look, use our Starfish Stencil ($19.95) in Benjamin Moore's sea star 2123-30 and linen sand 2151-50. Here's a great tutorial on how to stencil a rug.
