Stencil Ideas: Steller Stencil Craft Projects
Stencil Projects that Make you Think Outside the Wall
So, in the past, we've shown you some pretty spectacular rooms designed with
Cutting Edge Stencils' wall stencils. But, we've also shown you ways to use your
stencils a tad bit more creatively. Our wall stencils are so versatile, so don't get thrown off by the name. We've seen some pretty rad stencil projects come our way, and we're hoping to give you a swift kick in the butt to get started on yours by filling you in on other customers' inspiring works! Let's get to it!
Stenciling a Door
Personally, I was enlightened upon discovering that some of our customers had stenciled the doors in their homes! Generally, we don't necessarily think to accentuate our doors, and yours are probably just ordinary and unimpressive (no offense; maybe you like boring doors). However, we want you to stencil those forgotten entryways, making them stylish and expressive!
Below is a great example. One of our extremely talented customers took our
Spring Songbirds stencil and added some nature to their closet doors! This
Tree and Branch design looks just fantastic in this room. Stenciling on doors is a surprising and unique way to style up your room!
Stenciling Wood Wall Art
This rustic stencil idea is quite the cute little catch, so definitely consider creating it for your home! Previously, I wrote a blog post featuring
stenciled wood wall art pieces! That particular blog features our Tree and Branch stencils painted on wood, but we are fond of using other stencils to create wood wall art as well! Take our
Bon Appetit stencil for instance. Think back to when we featured a step-by-step tutorial on this stencil project in the blog post:
Stenciling Kitchen Decor. You just can't go wrong stenciling wood! Quick tip: for a distressed look, sand over the the painted stencil design. Check out another Bon Appetit stenciled wood home decor piece below!
Stenciled Signs and Lettering
Ashley, from the blog
Domestic Imperfection, created a stenciled sign to sit on her front porch that reads, "TEXAS FOREVER." She purchased the words from
Pick Your Plum and designed them with our
Vintage Paisley stencil to add a little VA VA VOOM! This is such a cute, fun and quick way to add a little flavor to your home decor! See the pic of it below!
Stenciled Jewelry Organizers
Remember back a few months ago when we featured the
jewelry organizer and matching cork board that our friends from the blog
DIY Design Fanatic created?! Gosh, I love that stencil project! Well, Lindsay, from
Southern Lovely, also stenciled a cork board to fashion her own jewelry organizer, but she used our
Mermaid Allover stencil instead of our Trellis! Stenciling cork boards is a stylish, trendy way to stay organized! Don't you just want to steal Lindsay's pictured below!?
