Alphabet Stencils Are An Easy Way To Create A Personalized Nursery Decor

Cutting Edge Stencils has the perfect solution for your wall decor problems. Personalized name signs are all the rage for a nursery and what better way to create your one-of-a-kind name sign than using stencils. Today we have an adorable name sign that is sure to inspire!
We'd like to welcome back Ashley, the DIY queen behind the blog
Domestic Imperfection. You might remember her stenciled nursery sign that we shared not too long ago. It looked like this.
Awesome, right? Ashely liked the stenciled sign but she didn't love it. You see the Chandler name sign was going to hang in the same space as the signs she created for his big sister. It looked like this.
Ashley decided to stencil a new name sign. She ordered the name Chandler from our
Alphabet Stencil collection. This new collection of stencils features the alphabet in thirteen of our most popular patterns and it comes in three sizes 8 inches, 12 inches, and 18 inches. For this project, Ashley chose the 8 inch letters in the
Moroccan Tiles pattern.
First she grabbed a piece of plywood from her garage and she stained it. Then chose yellow and orange hues that were similar to the button sign.
Ashley placed the letter stencils on the wood panel and used blue painters tape to hold them in place. Then she painted the colors randomly using a stencil brush until the entire Moroccan pattern was filled.
After the paint was dry, Ashley gave it a coat of polycrylic. Then her husband stepped in to make a rustic double frame out of cedar. Ready to see what it looks like? Here it is folks, the newly stenciled nursery sign!
