stenciling book worms! The summer has practically flown by and it's hard to believe that we're already talking about going back to school. Whether you have a not-so little one heading off to college or you're making the big college transition yourself,

Five Crafty Dorm Decor Projects Using Stencils
Painting the walls might be a big no-no but painting your own wall decor is a huge YES! This stylish wall decor also functions as a magnetic board. Double the amount of awesome! Maryann from
Domestically Speaking crafted this project and here's how you can recreate it. She stenciled the
Hourglass Allover stencil using blue acrylic craft paint onto a piece of burlap. Then she used a hot glue gun to adhere the painted burlap to a piece of sheet metal. Using a hammer and nail, she made two small holes in the top for the ribbon. WAHLA! You'll have stenciled wall art that looks pretty and is functional!
It's true that staying organized can be a bore of a chore. We love the thought of banishing that boredom with some patterned eye-candy! Kristi from Notes for My Little Ladies created this charming "clutter" holder using the
Zamira Card Stencil and a white Ikea magazine holder. She simply stenciled the Moroccan pattern in four fun colors. Kristi says, "I am very happy with how it turned out. I love the pattern and the extra pop of color it adds to the room."
Wouldn't you love to do your homework on this stenciled beaut? Rebecca from
Best Designs by Rebecca, prettied up an old desk that she had bought at a yard sale for her daughter's college apartment. She painted the desk a sky blue and then stenciled our
Paisley Allover pattern in gray and white. To complete the look, she added pretty glass knobs.
Piles of laundry might not look so bad if they're stacked in this adorable Polka Dot basket! Kalica from Miss Mash DIY, created a nifty looking hamper liner using paint and a drop cloth. Then she placed it into a hamper she purchased on sale at Target. To recreate this project use our
Polka Dot Allover Stencil and pink acrylic craft paint.
Here's a stencil project that might have you cast as the stylish gal on campus! Belinda from
TutsPlus glammed up a plain white tote blag using a zippy stripe pattern. You could easily recreate this project on any one color tote bag by using the
Chevron Allover Stencil and pastel acrylic craft paints.
So that's it folks! We hope you enjoyed our roundup of stenciled dorm decor.
