Happy Monday my stenciling DIY artists! Did you enjoy the rainbow twist on the Imagine Wall Stencil video tutorial yesterday? It was totally adorbs, right? Here it is in case you missed it... We love the burst of color and positive vibes this fun stencil gives off, don't you? It's so easy to fall in love with a look and then struggle with how to make it work in your space. And it's especially daunting to think about painting it on your wall. I mean I know it's paint and can easily be painted over but it's definitely something that many procrastinate. That's why Cutting Edge Stencils has a totally awesome stencil project that we think you're gonna love! What if we took one of these positive phrase stencils and painted it on canvas to create wall art? Then we could easily take it down or move it around. See I told you that you'd dig this idea!Home Is Where the Heart Is Stenciled Wall Art
Meet Ginger, the crafty blogger behind Ginger Snap Crafts. Ginger has actually worked with quite a few of wall stencils so you might remember her organization wall and master bedroom curtains. That organization wall makes me swoon each time I look at it! I digress. Recently, she fell in love with our Home Is Where the Heart Is wall stencil. This time Ginger decided to put a little spin on her stencil project and instead of stenciling the wall she decided to stencil on canvas. She purchased her thin paint-ready plywood at Lowes. Then she used a small amount of spray adhesive to ensure her stencil would stick to the canvas and she painted it with some craft acrylic paints. And WAHLA! She had a gorgeous piece of wall art just like that! PS. Ginger is currently hosting a FREE stencil giveaway ($50 value) on her blog so make sure you go enter!Need More Stenciled Wall Art Inspiration?
We all need to dream, right? What better way to remind yourself of that everyday than with a stenciled banner created by River & Finn! Adorable, don't you agree? This piece of reclaimed wood art makes my heart go pitter patter! It's a stenciled reminder that YOU are beyoutiful! Kate, the crafty gal behind Kiss the Sky painted this stencil on a piece of reclaimed wood. So not only is it inspiring but we all know that reclaimed wood art is hot, hot, hot in the home decor arena! And there are times when one stencil doesn't really say it all. Kate, from Kiss the Sky, came up with a clever way to work in both the Dream Stencil and the Sweet Dreams stencil into this stenciled stunner, "Dream until your dreams come true!" Do you love it? or do you love it?
