Stencils Add Style And Drama To A Kitchen Backsplash
Use Wall Stencils To Achieve A Faux Tile Backsplash
Good morning, my
Cutting Edge Stencils friends! If
your kitchen backsplash is looking a bit ho hum then consider using a stencil design to achieve a faux tile look. Our stencil patterns are an affordable way to achieve the stylish look you desire. Today we’re going to share a kitchen backsplash makeover that was enhanced with our
Santa Ana Tile Stencil. Come take a look...
We'd like to introduce Carlee, Cutting Edge Stencils fan and owner of
The Decorating Diva. Carlee loves to turn trash to treasures! Junk is her pride and joy and she loves to refinish the items using DIY tricks. So when Carlee discovered our pretty stencil patterns, it was love at first sight! Our Tile Stencil Collection helped inspire her budget friendly kitchen backsplash makeover. Here is what it looked like before.
Carlee didn't have a backsplash in her kitchen. Tile backsplashes are pretty but can be expensive so after seeing several painted backsplashes on Instagram, Carlee decided to give it a shot. She browsed our large collection of
tile stencils and selected our new
Santa Ana Tile Pattern. This beautiful design was inspired by trendy Spanish and Portuguese tile patterns.
Carlee shared the steps and products she used to complete the kitchen backsplash with her fans on Facebook. For those who love video tutorials, watch this.
Carlee prepped her kitchen backsplash area by cleaning it and priming with Sherwin Williams Extreme Bond Primer. When the wall was dry, Carlee was ready to start
stenciling! She used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern in Sherwin Williams Seal Skin. After each section was complete, she would un-tape the stencil and reposition so she could paint the entire backsplash area.
Are you ready to see how it all turned out? Here is her faux tile kitchen backsplash.
Carlee posted this, "A little bit of paint makes a HUGE difference! Cabinets painted, walls painted and a new painted, stenciled backsplash! " This pattern looks amazing and makes a huge impact on her kitchen.
We think she did an amazing job transforming her kitchen using a stencil and paint. Here is a before and after photo to prove the point!
