Brick Allover Wall Stencil to easily create a faux brick wall. Come take a look...
We'd like to introduce Kathy, a creative DIYer and the crafty gal behind
Kathy's Creations. Kathy is a fun-loving Mom who loves completing creative projects. When she's not crafting treasure boxes and candles, she is updating her home. Recently she decided to tackle her BBQ area. Here is what her space looked like before its makeover.
This backyard nook was dull and gray. Since this cement wall was attached to her home, she couldn't just tear it down. Kathy needed a budget friendly project to help infuse the area with color and pattern. That's when she turned to stencils! Wall stencils are affordable and offer an easy solution to customizing a space. Kathy browsed our large collection of
geometric stencils and selected our
Brick Wall Stencil. This traditional brick design makes crafting a
faux brick wall super easy.
The first thing Kathy did was clean the cement wall to ensure there wasn't any debris and then she prepped and painted it in white. Benjamin Moore makes a great floor and patio paint that would work for a project like this one. With her stencil in hand, she was ready to start
stenciling! She used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place and a dense foam roller to paint the pattern in shades of gray.
After each section was complete, Kathy would un-tape the stencil and reposition so she could paint the entire faux brick wall. Kathy varied the pressure of her roller so that the bricks had a more realistic look.
Once the entire wall was stenciled, Kathy decorated it with a custom sign from
Miss Charli's Custom Boards that said, "Grillin & Chillin." Let's take a look at Kathy's stylish new BBQ space with faux brick wall.
We think Kathy did an amazing job with this stencil makeover, don't you agree? For a more detailed stencil tutorial on painting this Brick pattern, please read
