Stencils Can Create A Peaceful and Serene Nursery
Modern Wall Patterns To Make A Serene Nursery Retreat
Good morning, my
Cutting Edge Stencils friends! If you are looking for some nursery inspiration that oozes style and tranquility then you have come to the right spot!
Soft modern design elements, like a wall stencil pattern, and a serene color palette can create a soothing environment for your little one. Let's take a look at a nursery design that effortlessly combines a peaceful color combination with a trendy geometric stencil pattern.
We'd like to welcome back Bri, an Interior Decorator and the DIY mastermind behind
Emerson Grey Designs. Bri was contacted by a Client, Rachel G., requesting an E-design for her 2nd son's nursery. Rachel was looking to create a nursery that was both peaceful, serene, and stylish. The preferred color combination was black, white, and grey. Bri was ready to take on the task for designing this nursery. She started by putting together a design board that brought in all of the elements that were requested.
Bri had Rachel approve the design board and then she was ready to activate the plan. Do you see what we see? Yup, that's our
arrows wall pattern sitting behind the crib on design plan. A wall pattern is a great way to add visual interest and depth to a space without breaking the piggy bank. Bri had browsed our website and carefully selected the
Drifting Arrows Allover Stencil, a great wall pattern for a boy's nursery. This herringbone meets arrows design is one of our
geometric stencils and is perfect for adding subtle pattern to a nursery wall.
With her stencil in hand, Rachel was ready to start the project. She brought in her Mom to help with the
stenciling. Together they painted the walls a light grey hue similar to Benjamin Moore's gray owl OC-52. She used blue painter's tape to hold the
stencil design in place and she painted the pattern in a slightly darker gray similar to Benjamin Moore sea haze 2137-50. After each section was complete, she would untape the stencil and reposition to finish the pattern on the accent wall. For more information on how to stencil, we recommend viewing our
stencil tutorials.
After the accent wall was stenciled, Rachel purchased an adorable Babyletto Lolly crib, a Restoration Hardware dresser in grey and cloud sheets from Land of Nod. Are you ready to see how Bri's e-design dream became a reality? Here is the stenciled nursery.
Bri had this to say about the stencil project, " I think we can all agree that the arrow accent wall is pretty phenomenal! It is an inexpensive way to make a big impact." We totally agree!
We love the peaceful yet stylish color combination that she chose for this modern
wall stencil pattern.
