Kristi and Kelli ordered the Archery Paint-A-Pillow kit with white pillow covers and Jacquard Paint in golden rod. Here is a quick glimpse of their gorgeous stenciled accent pillow. Don't worry, we'll get to the details. We could simply open up the box and cross a project off our “to create” list lickity split. Bam." For this project, they chose to paint the arrow pattern using a yellow hue called Golden Rod and a dense foam roller. Roll off the excess paint onto a folded paper towel until the roller looks almost dry. The key to stenciling is using as little paint as possible. Too much paint will cause the design to bleed and smudge. Once the entire pillow cover was painted, they peeled back the metal tabs holding the stencil in place and cleaned off the stencil in the sink. When the pillow cover was dry, Kristi and Kelli stuffed the pillow inserts inside. Here is another look at their trendy arrow accent pillows.
