Shelly wanted to give her guest bathroom a makeover. She said, " I gave myself a small budget to purchase new artwork and a few accessories and I also put my DIY skills to work making a new shower curtain." Shelly decided to stencil a shower curtain and purchased a plain white one for $14.99 from Target. Then she browsed our website and selected the Herringbone Stitch Allover Stencil, a trendy geometric pattern with a contemporary twist. She placed the stencil pattern on top of the shower curtain and used painters tape to hold it in place. Then she painted the herringbone pattern using dense foam roller and Clark and Kensington's Ace of Spades in a semi-gloss finish. Shelly made sure the she rolled off excess paint on a piece of paper towel. Too much paint would have caused her design to bleed. After the pattern was painted, she would remove the stencil and retape to continue stenciling the entire shower curtain. She worked with a color palette of black and white and accented it with gold, pink and grey. Shelly comments, "I just love it when a project comes together. After finishing my stenciled shower curtain, I set about pulling together the accessories to use in our guest bathroom."
