Addison Meadow Lane. Stacey loves everything the Holiday season has to offer. From gingerbread houses to sparkling lights, this can be the jolliest season when it comes to decorating a home. Stacey was looking for a crafty way to enhance her decor when she discovered the new
Holiday Stencil Collection for
Paint-A-Pillow. She browsed the new stencil collection and chose our classic
Reindeer pattern. Then she selected white pillow covers and Jacquard fabric paint in raw umber to complete her project. Here is a sneak peek at what she created:
How adorable is this Reindeer stenciled accent pillow? We love it! Now let's talk about how you can recreate this whimsical project. Stacey opened her Paint-A-Pillow box and was ready to start stenciling since the kit comes with all of the supplies needed.
She placed her items in her crafting space and was ready to start her project. Stacey used a dense foam roller to paint the entire reindeer in raw umber (brown).
Stacey was careful to not overload the dense foam roller because this would cause the paint to bleed under the stencil. Please note that if you are recreating this at home, that you can roll off the extra paint on your roller onto a piece of paper towel.
Once the reindeer head was painted, Stacey used a stencil brush to paint the string of lights in red and green.
After the paint was dry, Stacey slipped the pillow insert into the painted cover. Here's another look at her DIY Reindeer stenciled accent pillow. She said, "Isn’t he cute?? I just love the way it turned out. this project took a total of about 20 minutes and turned out perfect!"
