Stencil Designs Make Custom Accent Pillows Affordable and Easy!

Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends. Did you know that you could make custom accent pillows to suit your decor and you don't have to know how to sew? Yup, that's right! Our accent pillow stencil kits make crafting custom accent pillows super easy and affordable. Today we are sharing how to make decorative accent pillows using a stencil pattern. We love following this creative feed because they are always painting something new and fun. This time they managed to impress us with a stenciled accent pillow. Here is a quick flipagram tutorial showing off their project. Let's walk through how they accomplished this creative stencil project. The first thing they did was browse our accent pillow kits for the perfect pattern and select the Heritage Grill design. Our stencil kits come with everything needed to complete this easy DIY project except the paint. They simply selected a white pillow cover and Jacquard Fabric Paint in Black Neutral Gray. Then the geometric pillow pattern was painted using a stencil brush. Be careful not to overload the stencil brush with paint. Be sure to brush off the excess paint onto a folded paper towel until the brush looks almost dry. The key to stenciling is using as little paint as possible. Too much paint will cause the design to bleed and smudge. This will allow the pillow to be washed in the future without damaging the paint. Ok, are you ready to see how this crafty project turned out? Here it is!
