Stencil An Accent Pillow To Match Your Style
Stencil Patterns Make Crafting Accent Pillows Easy!
Good morning, my
Cutting Edge Stencils friends. Finding the perfect accent pillow can be a difficult task that is unless you craft it yourself! Our
accent pillow stencil kits make crafting custom accent pillows super easy and affordable. Today we are sharing how to make decorative accent pillows using a
stencil design.
We'd like to introduce Michelle, the clever DIYer and blogger behind
Michelle James Designs. Michelle had been searching for accent pillows for her guest bedroom but finding the perfect pillow was challenging. It's not easy to find a pattern you love in the right color so Michelle decided to DIY her own accent pillow. She fell in love with our accent
pillow stencil kits and selected the
Verde Damask design. Our stencil kits come with everything needed to complete this easy DIY project except the paint. Michelle simply selected a white pillow cover and Jacquard Fabric Paint in yellow ochre. She set up her supplies and started
stenciling. The
stencil design fits securely in the frame so no tape is needed to hold it in place. Then she painted the
Verde Damask pattern using the dense foam roller. Be careful not to overload the roller with paint. Be sure to roll off the excess paint onto a folded paper towel until the roller looks almost dry. The key to stenciling is using as little paint as possible. Michelle had this to say about her project, "I love the way it turned out and how totally easy this was to do. " Oh, and be sure to enter the
$50 stencil giveaway on Michelle's blog.
We'd like to welcome back Michelle, the creative crafter and blogger behind
Our Crafty Mom. Michelle admits that she loves accent pillows so it is no surprise that she fell in love with our
accent pillow stencil kits. She browsed our designs and chose the
Verde Damask. Michelle also picked out a white pillow cover and Jacquard Fabric Paint in turquoise and gray to go along with her kit. When her box arrived in the mail, she set up her project in her craft station. The
stencil design fits securely in the frame so no tape is needed to hold it in place. Then she painted the
Verde Damask accent pillow pattern in two colors using a stencil brush. After it was stenciled Michelle said, "Then just add your pillow insert and sit back to admire your beautiful new pillow!. " To see more creative projects by Michelle and to enter the $50
stencil giveaway, please visit her blog.
