Paint-A-Pillow Spotted on CityTV's CityLine With Leigh-Ann Perrault
Good morning, my DIY savvy friends! Did any of our stencil fans tune into Cityline TV on Monday morning? Well if the answer is yes, then we're sure you spotted Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault giving fans the inside scoop on how to paint custom accent pillows using
Paint-A-Pillow. While it was Paint-A-Pillow's first TV appearance we're pretty sure it wasn't the last. Before we move on, we'll let the innovative stenciling kit take a bow and then we can rehash the juicy deets of our fab spotting on CityLine!
What is CityLine?
For all of our non-Canadian residents, CityLine is an very popular morning TV program in Canada.
Leigh-Ann Allaire Perrault is an avid DIYer and design aficionado who appears regularly as a guest expert on the well known show. In this specific segment, Leigh-Ann shares how easy and affordable it is to create custom accent pillows using paint.
The Inside Scoop: How to Paint Your Pillows
On Monday's show Leigh-Ann mentions that she had previously painted drapes and Tracy, the host, commented that typically when you think about painted fabric, you think of crunchy paint. But the truth is that painting fabric has come a long way, especially when we're talking about painting accent pillows!
Whether you like to change your pillows seasonally or you're looking for a specific pattern with a particular color scheme, Leigh-Ann understands the decorating challenges, which is why she insists Paint-A-Pillow is the way to go.
These pillows are gorgeous and Tracy admits that in person it's hard to believe they've been stenciled and painted. Both of these lovely pillows all started using the Paint-A-Pillow kit. Leigh-Ann shows viewers how the kit comes with everything you need to create one accent pillow.
After securing the
Verde Damask stencil into the Paint-A-Pillow frame, Leigh-Ann uses a dense foam roller to paint on the Jacquard fabric paint in red.
Then she lifted the stencil to give viewers a tiny peek at the painted pattern.
And to complete the custom accent pillows, Leigh-Ann talks about how simple it is to add pillow
embellishments like tassels and studs!
