Welcome back, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! It's a new year and it's time for new stylish decor. Stencils are an easy and inexpensive way to give a plain jane item some pattern and personality. Let's take a look at how one of our favorite DIY bloggers used our Nagoya Allover Stencil to give her rug a stylish update!

Let's visit Kristin, the creative mind behind The Shabby Bride and contributor to the blog All Things Thrifty. Kristin had scored a gorgeous rug at Target on sale. It was a beauty but the super simple item lacked personality. She decided that the easiest way to customize it was using stencils. Here is a shot of the rug she purchased. With her stencil in hand she was ready to kick off her project. She also grabbed a quart of latex paint and a jar of BB Frösch Chalk Paint Powder.
