Welcome back, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! Looking for a fun and easy Holiday project to tackle next weekend? How about crafting a DIY serving tray using a festive stencil pattern. A stenciled Christmas serving tray can either decorate your own home or be given as a heartfelt gift to a friend. Our stencil patterns make crafting an item like this easy and affordable. And to prove our point, today we're sharing a DIY stenciled Christmas serving tray. Come check it out... We'd like you to meet Anita, a creative DIYer and Hometalk contributor. The Hometalk team offered Anita a chance to use a stencil pattern for a holiday themed project and she jumped at the challenge. We sent her the Merry Christmas Craft Stencil in a small and let her DIY imagination run wild. This Christmas Stencil template has Santa walking through town with his bag of goodies! Anita wanted to craft something she would use during the holiday season. Anita decided to make a Christmas tray which is perfect for entertaining her holiday guests! She rounded up her supplies for the project which included a damaged picture frame in the clearance section of Michael's Crafts, a red fabric cloth napkin, drawer pulls, the Christmas Craft Stencil, and gold leaf paint. Anita removed the glass from the picture frame and traced the shape on the cloth napkin. Then she was ready to start stenciling the cloth. She placed the Christmas Stencil onto the napkin and used painter's tape to hold it in place. Then Anita painted the festive pattern using Plaid Liquid Leaf Paint in gold. Anita lifted the craft pattern to reveal the merry design. To complete her project, Anita painted the frame in cream colored chalk paint. She folded the stenciled cloth around the backing of the frame and glued it in place. Anita placed the glass back on top and screwed the drawer pulls on the top side of the frame so they could act as handles. Ready to see how it all turned out? Here is her DIY stenciled Holiday tray!
