HGTV Magazine Cites Stencils As Easy Decorating
Cutting Edge Stencils Is Featured In HGTV Magazine's May Issue!
Good morning, my home decor loving friends! As if the weekend approaching wasn't enough reason to celebrate,
Cutting Edge Stencils has some pretty spectacular news. We just got the latest issue of our favorite DIY publication,
HGTV Magazine, and we were overjoyed to see our
Alexa Allover staring back at us on the front cover! Yes, we said the front cover. Wait, it gets better. As we were flipping through the color infused issue, we noticed Glidden had a special advertising section which also featured our trendy
Indian Inlay Stencil pattern. OK now we can jump up and down and scream with excitement. Before you rush off to buy the lates issue, let's talk about the details of this recent stencil sighting.
Alexa Allover Stenciled Accent Wall
Aside from the front cover, this stunning accent wall was seen in a section titled, Fresh Ideas With Paint on page 49. It features 13 pages of hue-drenched rooms, color rich projects, and pro-picked shades to pep up a house. And our darling
Alexa Allover is project number one on the list telling readers to paint a pattern on a wall.
HGTV Magazine says, "Why wallpaper when you can get a look that's just as bold with paint and a stencil?" We totally agree!
Now we know you're going to love this look so here is how you can recreate it. Use our Alexa Allover Stencil with Glidden's Lagoon Green on the wall and Echo Lake Aqua for the stencil. Follow these four simple steps listed on HGTV's
website for painting this wall pattern.
Indian Inlay Stenciled Dresser
Simply flip several pages to page 59 and you'll see another one of our trendy stencils.
HGTV Magazine prompts readers to paint a dresser using our
Indian Inlay. The publication writes, " Mimic an intricate inlaid design with stencils -- looks so luxe!"
It really does and we bet you can't wait to recreate it. It's simple. Snatch up our Indian Inlay Stencil kit and then give your old dresser a fresh new look by painting it Tuberose by Sherwin Williams. After the pretty pink hue is dry, stencil the bone inlay inspired design using Martha Stewart Crafts pearl acrylic in mother of pearl. Follow the steps listed on
HGTV Magazine's website to create this fun DIY painting project.
If you love this idea, then you'll love the rest of the DIY ideas featured in the May 2015 issue of
HGTV Magazine.
