Cutting Edge Stencils Spotted In Do It Yourself Storage Ideas Magazine!
Good morning, my home decor loving friends! Cutting Edge Stencils just happened to be browsing the home and garden section at Barnes & Noble when we came across the awesome organizational publication, Do It Yourself Storage Ideas Magazine. Aside from the plethora of storage secrets for even the smallest of spaces, we were pleasantly surprised to see one of our stencils prettying up a reach-in closet! That's right, we spotted our trendy Ikat Samarkand Allover Stencil pattern staring back at us on page 56. Let's talk about the details of this recent stencil sighting.
Ikat Samarkand Stenciled Reach-In Closet
In the section titled, A New View, the publication gives a reach-in closet a fashion forward makeover. For our visual fans, here is an great video explaining how to reorganize a cramped closet so that it (and you) can breathe a little easier.
The publication explains to readers how to simply improve a clothes closet storage with a few simple tricks. They start by replacing the doors on a 7x2 foot closet with stylish curtains. Then they painted the interior and noted that, " Bold color and pattern create distinct spaces for belongings and add decorator detail to the closet wall." The pretty damask pattern that you see is our Ikat Samarkand Allover Stencil. The closet wall was painted in Sherwin Williams Blue Masque and then the eye-catching pattern was stenciled using Sherwin Williams Eider White. To create visual sections, the upper half of the closet was painted using Sherwin Williams Citrus, a perky yellow hue, with a strip of Ice Plant pink.
The color choices alone make this closet a joy to open. Aside from the colorful combination, this mini but mighty remodel adds both beauty and function to a daily used space. Baskets neatly sort commonly used items and matching hangers are color coded. Even the footwear is nicely arranged on floating shelves!
