Bravo, Bravo! That's the standing ovation that everyone here at Cutting Edge Stencils is giving Taniya Nayak after she boasted about our stencils as her most awesome DIY design tip on the Rachael Ray Show this past Monday! We can hardly contain our enthusiasm for this latest small screen stint. If you missed it, then you can watch the segment here.
Taniya Nayak, design expert and DIY superstar, admits that once you're finished with painting your space that it can be a real challenge to find the perfect rug to match your home decor. Rather than struggle to find a matching rug, Taniya suggests crafting your own rug using any stencil design from Cutting Edge Stencils. For this segment, Taniya chose the Rabat Allover Stencil.
An inexpensive indoor/outdoor Sisel rug will cost you about $10 and can easily be customized with your left over wall paint to match your decor perfectly! Using a paint brush, Taniya shows Rachael Ray how easy it is to stencil your very own Sisel rug. Check out our detailed tutorial on how to stencil a Sisel Rug.
Once this lovely little rug is finished Taniya says "And it's so so easy to do!" Pretty, right?" We think that looks awesome, girl!
We're not the only ones who think painting your own Sisel rug is a great way to spruce up your home and give your decor the perfect look! Whitney, the fabulous DIYer over at Shanty 2 Chic, is always on the quest to perfect her home decor. She crafted this Sisel rug using the Zagora Stencil in a matter of minutes while her lil' munchkins were napping! She admits "This was such an easy project!" We think it's a stunning feature in her entryway.
And there's this lovely bit of sunshine that perpetual DIYer, Dina from Honey & Fitz created. Dina was slightly hesitant to take on this stencil project but her passion to accomplish stenciling got her through it. She used the Scallop Stencil on a basic IKEA rug. Dina writes, "Dare I say, it actually looked kinda cool." We say, YES! Not only does it look very cool but its a great pop of color to the space.
