Entryway Stenciled with our Charlotte Pattern In Today's Parent Magazine (September Issue)

Good Morning, my creative DIY mamas! Have you gotten the kiddies off to school yet? Hopefully that was a yes. Do you remember that entryway that you ran through as you double checked their backpacks and rushed them to the school bus stop? Ah yes, we are talking about THAT space. All too often a home's entryway is cluttered with mail, shoes, and stray toys. Are we describing your space? If so, then you're going to love the latest Cutting Edge Stencils feature in the September issue of Today's Parent. Yup, you read that right. Another magazine feature. Cutting Edge Stencils was featured in the September issue of Today's Parent! http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/charlotte-allover-stencil-pattern We can hardly believe we have another FAB stencil mention and this time it's in Today's Parent Magazine, Canada's most popular parenting publication. They featured our Charlotte Allover Stencil in their September Back to School issue. As with most back to school themes, organization is a hot topic. From school stuff to afternoon activity gear, our homes can sometimes be as cluttered as our days during this time of year. And let's face it, when kids are involved function will often replace fashion. Sound the trumpets because we want to welcome Sarah Gunn, an interior decorator, DIY expert and busy mom of two boys. Oh and she's also the proud stenciler of this gorgeous and functional entryway. Sarah Gunn's Charlotte stenciled accent wall was featured in the September issue of Today's Parent! http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/charlotte-allover-stencil-pattern Sarah felt that her foyer lacked style and function and needed a makeover. While she liked the idea of light colored walls, she found that they showed every nick and fingerprint from her two kids. Her style solution was to add the Charlotte Allover Stencil, a gorgeous lace-like pattern to the wall. She selected a light grey with warm undertones similar to Benjamin Moore's revere pewter HC-172 for the base coat. Then she stenciled the pretty design in simply white OC-117. It's a lovely color combination that is enhanced by her pops of color in her painted cabinet and door. Sarah says, "Although it looks complicated, it's really easy to do." We love how she prettied up her entryway! If you can't snag a copy of of the September issue of Today's Parent then you can catch Sarah's other organizational secrets on the latest episode of CityLine, a popular TV show in Canada on CityTV (7:45 into the show). Our personal favorite is this one, "Stenciling a pattern on the walls in high-traffic areas not only adds style but helps disguise pesky fingerprints and marks, too!" We totally agree!
