A Charming Leopard Skin Stenciled Table
Cutting Edge Stencils Shares A Stenciled Table Using the Leopard Skin Stencil
Good morning, my DIY friends. Remember when
Cutting Edge Stencils reported a leopard pattern
trend awhile back? From walls to curtains, we've been spotting this wild print all over home decor and we love the way it adds a dose of exotic chic to any space. Are you looking to take a walk on the wild side of home decor? Then we've got a super simple stencil project that is sure to impress.
We'd like to welcome back Jenna, the creative DIYer and blogger behind
Rain On A Tin Roof. Now, Jenna is no newbie when it comes to stenciling. In fact you might remember her
Leopard Skin Allover stenciled guest
bedroom that we shared not too long ago.
Gorgeous, isn't it? We're pretty sure she has to kick her overnight guests out these days! Well the good news is that our stencils are reusable. So after a quick rinse, they're totally ready for another stencil project. The even better news is that Jenna put her
Leopard Skin Allover to the test. Her neighbor had given her this small wooden table.
Jenna said, "I was absolutely in love with its retro feel." Unfortunately, the top was a laminate and it was peeling off. So while she loved the piece, she wasn't sure what to do with it and stuck it in her basement. Then one day a thought stung her like bunch of bees. She decided to paint it mustard and black.
I don't think we need to explain why THIS look didn't last! Jenna primed the table and let it sit while she came up with Plan B. Since she had recently stenciled her guest bedroom, it seemed like a brilliant idea to reuse her stencil. When it came time to choose a color, Jenna said, "Black and Gold. It never fails you." So she painted the whole table black using a paint sprayer. Then she stenciled the leopard pattern in gold using craft paint and a stencil brush. Once the paint was dry, she sealed it with a Polyacrylic coating. Here is her newly stenciled side table:
This is what her gorgeous gold stencil looks like up close. Jenna says, "Every room needs a little animal print, right?" Yup, we think we have to agree with that!
