Easy Outdoor Stencil Projects

Stencils Can Add Stylish Appeal To Your Outdoor Space

Good morning, my stencil friends! Memorial Day is right around the corner and typically it's a weekend that acts as the kick-off to summer. Warm weather, friendly gatherings, and good ole' fashion BBQs are what Cutting Edge Stencils thinks of this time of year. With all that outdoor fun also comes some outdoor prep work. Don't moan and groan! We promise we have some fun and easy stencil projects to get your space BBQ ready! Let's take a look.

We'd like to welcome Ginger, the creative crafter behind Ginger Snap Crafts. With the warm weather right around the corner and multiple outdoor family events planned, Ginger decided it was time to give her deck and patio a makeover. Ginger had big plans but a little budget so she headed to one of her favorite thrifty stores, Kmart. It was cute but in Ginger's opinion it needed to be dressed up. That's when her stenciling light bulb went off. Ginger had previously stenciled bedroom curtains using our Turkish Tulip Allover stencil. She decided to add some patterned personality to the side table using her stencil. Ginger purchased a drop cloth and then cut a circle out of the cloth, the same size as the top of the table. Then she placed the stencil on top of the circle shaped cloth and painted the stencil pattern in a color similar to Benjamin Moore's baffin island CC-270. Ginger had this to say about her second stencil project, "I’m hooked on stencils! Stencils are a quick & easy was to fancy up a project." Once the table was in place she added a decorative candle. She says, "I really love how it turned out! It added the perfect touch to our deck." Then she felt her old picnic table needed a pick-me-up. She whipped out another drop cloth, her Turkish Tulip Allover stencil, and the same paint color as the side table. She said, "I made a matching tablecloth for our picnic table." Here's what she crafted. Hope she had dinner outside that night!
