Give Thrifty Nightstands A Makeover Using Stencils

A DIY Stenciled Nightstand Using the Gabrielle Damask Stencil

Good morning, my DIY friends. Cutting Edge Stencils is chatting about thrift store finds today over here on Stencil Stories. We love thrift store makeover stories because they're so inspiring. There's just something about finding a gorgeous piece of furniture for under $20 and then transforming it using a little bit of creativity and a stencil. Just last week we shared her stenciled upholstered chair, do you remember this post? A DIY painted and stenciled upholstered chair using the Gabrielle Damask pattern. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/damask-stencil-3 Yup, she's the crafty DIYer that painted and stenciled an upholstered chair. Well she has certainly been bitten by the stenciling bug because she was back at it again using the same Gabrielle Damask stencil pattern. We love when our reusable stencils are used on multiple projects. Nancy spotted these beat up nightstands at a local thrift store for $15 for the pair. They were solid wood and full of potential especially once they were in Nancy's hands. Once her basecoat was dry, she was ready to add a pretty pattern using a stencil. Nancy decided to use our Gabrielle Damask stencil since she had it on hand from her previous project. She used painter's tape to adhere the stencil to the drawer front.
