Cutting Edge Stencils shares a DIY stenciled closet using the Fish School Allover stencil pattern in Beluga. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/fish-school-stencil-pattern-beach-decor We'd like to introduce Amy, the creative DIYer behind the blog Always Never Done. Amy's closet in her master bedroom was in desperate need of a makeover. Due to the size, it mainly held her husband's clothes which were piled and hung in a disorderly fashion. Here is what it looked like: A before shot of a DIY stenciled closet makeover using the Fish School Allover stencil. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/fish-school-stencil-pattern-beach-decor Yikes! We can see why it needed a makeover. The first thing Amy did was to take everything out of the closet and pile it on the bed. Then she tore out the existing shelving and bar so they could reconfigure them. She spills the beans on how they reorganized the shelving in her blog post. After the closet was painted and the new shelving was in place, Amy was ready for stenciling! She chose the Fish School Allover, a modern geometric stencil. Amy has this to say about her stencil choice, " I thought this was just the coolest stencil. It is essentially a stencil of a school of fish but it looks really modern at the same time. Therefore it was perfect to put in hubby’s closet. (He loves fishing as much as I love estate sales and DIY projects.) We also have a beachy sort of feel in our bedroom, so it was a perfect pick." She painted the fish pattern in Home Depot's Beluga, a muted black, using a dense foam roller. She did this until the pattern was complete on the closet wall.
