A Herringbone Brick Stenciled Bathroom
Stencils Can Quickly Freshen Up a Dull Bathroom
Good morning, my DIY bathroom renovators! Cutting Edge Stencils has been noticing a lot of stenciled bathrooms lately. Remember those stenciled bathrooms we shared on Facebook this past weekend or the Drifting Arrows stenciled bathroom on the blog last week? We are bubbling with gorgeous bathroom inspiration! And it doesn't really surprise us because stencils are an easy way to spruce up a lackluster bathroom. Today we're going to show you how our Herringbone Brick Stencil was used to quickly freshen up a dull bathroom. Let's take a look! We'd like to introduce Ann Marie, the clever DIYer behind the blog Twice Lovely. Ann Marie is no newbie when it comes to stenciling. Do you remember her Birch Forest stenciled kids room? Well she's back at it again and this time she's been stenciling her master bathroom. Ann Marie said, "Our master bath, like everything in our newly-built home, had great space but was completely boring. Clean, nice, new, but boring none-the-less." Here is what it looked like before: We see what she means. It's a pleasant space but lacks character. The bathroom was in a desperate need of a pop of color and pattern. The first thing Ann Marie did was choose a stencil pattern from our newest stencil designs, the Herringbone Brick Stencil pattern. This trendy geometric looks like a herringbone tile. Ann Marie used blue painter's tape to help hold the stencil in place and then painted the herringbone pattern in a gray hue using a dense foam roller. After she painted one section, she would un-tape the stencil and reposition it to stencil a new section. She did this until the pattern was complete on the wall. Once the accent wall was stenciled, Ann Marie updated the mirror, flipped the light fixures upside down, and added some decor pieces. Ready to see how it all turned out? We love it, don't you? Ann Marie had this to say about the stencil, "I just love what it added in here! Looks like herringbone tile that is everywhere right now." Tell us, what do you think of this stenciled bathroom update? Leave us a comment below, we'd love to read your thoughts!
