Meet a couple affectionately nicknamed CoastalFam in Project Nursery, a super popular nursery decor website that allows users to share their nursery decor. Coastal Mama did a gender reveal photo session at twenty weeks and was over the moon excited to find out she was expecting a little girl. From that moment, she decided she wanted a nursery filled with frills. She picked out a color palette with soft colors, whimsical patterns, and feminine decor elements. Rather than choose an out of the box collection, Coastal Mama wanted to select her pieces individually. Her design inspiration stemmed from sea green and pink fabric she spotted in a fabric outlet in San Francisco. She painted an accent wall behind the crib with Kashmir Pink by Behr and then stenciled the Simple Rhyme Allover pattern in shade lighter. The whimsical pattern is soft, subtle, and shimmers in the sunlight. Here is the shot of the completed space. The couple describes their nursery as feminine with pops of whimsy.
