Stencil Patterns Add Style To A Laundry Room Makeover

Good morning, my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! We are going to help you take the chore out of laundry day by adding style and pizzazz to that bland space. Wall stencil patterns are an easy and inexpensive way to add an accent wall. Today we are sharing a stenciled laundry room makeover featuring the Mesh Stencil that will hopefully inspire you. Let’s take a look... We'd like to introduce Stephanie, the DIY decorating enthusiast behind the blog One Mile Home Style. Stephanie's laundry room was painted a bold shade of yellow with white accents. The space had very little natural light so the striking color combination was harsh for the small space. The laundry room also became a cluttered catch-all for odd items. Stephanie was itching to give it a makeover that included fresh paint colors and a way to organize the cluttered mess. Here is the room she started with... Stephanie had a laundry list of DIY projects to help add style to her functional space. She embraced the idea of adding a wall pattern. Stenciling a wall design allows you to achieve a wallpaper like look for a fraction of the cost. Stephanie browsed our large collection of geometric stencils and fell in love with the Mesh Allover Stencil, a contemporary pattern that gives the feeling of woven fibers or grid lines to any room. She said, "I liked the geometric look, but it had a less structured look to it with the uneven line pattern." The first thing she did was give her laundry space a fresh coat of paint using Glidden Silvery Moonlight. After her laundry room was painted in the soothing gray hue, she was ready to start stenciling! Stephanie placed her Mesh Allover Stencil on her laundry room accent wall. She used blue painters tape to hold the stencil in place on the wall. Then she poured her paint into a small tray and painted with a dense foam roller. Stephanie painted the grid stencil using Glidden Rich Navy. Once the stencil was complete, Stephanie added some gold touches and fresh flowers.
