We'd like you to meet Jenna, the creative DIYer from Rain on a Tin Roof. When Jenna purchased her fixer-upper of a home, she had big plans to renovate each room. Since big plans costs big money, she created a laundry list of projects and has been crossing them off one at a time. On that list, was her guest bedroom which also functions as a home office. The space had been given a fresh coat of paint and new carpeting when she moved in, but it lacked style and most importantly, her personality. Here is a picture of the space before the glam makeover: A before shot of a DIY leopard stenciled bedroom. http://www.cuttingedgestencils.com/products/leopard-pattern-animal-skin-stencil As you can see, it's a bit of a catch-all for items. Jenna decided that she wanted this bedroom to be fun and chic. Since she is the the one who spends a fair amount of time in this space, it was easier to design this room with items she loved. First she painted the walls white, similar to Benjamin Moore's white dove OC-17, and the trim black, similar to Benjamin Moore's black tar 2126-10. She knew she wanted an accent wall behind the bed. After careful consideration, she selected our Leopard Skin Allover Stencil, one of our new geometric stencil patterns. She used painters tape to keep her stencil in position while she traced the stencil design and our clip-on stencil level to ensure her stencil was placed evenly on the wall. She painted the spotty pattern on the wall using a dense foam roller. Here she is working through the process.
