12 Days of Stenciling: I Spy Stenciled Christmas Decor
Cutting Edge Stencils Shares Holiday Home Decor That You Can Create With Stencils!
Happy Wednesday, my DIY pattern spotters! From singing yuletide carols to baking homemade cookies, Cutting Edge Stencils is feeling the holly jolly spirit. Luckily for us, so is one of our favorite home decor magazines, Better Homes & Gardens! As we were flipping through their oh-so-pretty living rooms decorated for Christmas, we couldn't help but squeal with joy as we spotted patterns that looked so similar to our stencil designs. Let’s see if you can do the same and once you spot’em, we’ll show you how to recreate the holiday decor using our stencils. So let’s get started!
Tres Chic Living Room:
If classic Christmas isn't your thing, we love the idea of this chic, country inspired setting. Combining a deep pink with a vibrant green is a winning holiday color combination. Can you spy a pattern in this living room?
Woodland Living Room:
Do you love the look of everything rustic? A natural Christmas tree covered in frosty snowflakes feels right at home in this lodge-like living room. Do you know what else works well in this space?
Did we hear you say our Snowflake Craft Stencil? You got that right! Recreate that gorgeous wall art using a framed piece of glass, our 3 piece snowflake stencil and FolkArt Enamels in Frosted White and Glitter Silver. Read our tips and tricks on stenciling glass here. But wait, we see one more stencil project peeking out from under that pretty Christmas tree! Do you see the glittery snowflake pattern on that tree skirt? We do and we know you could totally recreate it using our Snowflake stencil. Buy plain white fabric from a local craft store and trim it to the desired shape around the tree. Then stencil the wintery pattern using FolkArt Metallics in Silver. There you go, a gorgeous frosty snowflake filled room!
Traditional Twist Living Room:
As Better Homes & Gardens mentions, "Using lime instead of a more traditional emerald green is the perfect way to put a twist on traditional Christmas decorations!" We couldn't have said it better ourselves, because the same thing goes for stencil patterns. Can you see a traditional pattern in the living room below?
Sky Blue Living Room:
Shades of sky blue look amazing and certainly stand out against this dark green Christmas tree. Do you know what else stands out in this blue-hued beauty?
