How To Create Cheerful Holiday Artwork Using Stencils

Stencils Can Dress Up Your Home For The Holidays

Welcome back my Cutting Edge Stencils friends! Seasonal Christmas crafts are a unique way to add holiday spirit to your home. Using our holiday inspired craft stencils, they can be just as easy as they are festive. Let's take a look at how one of our favorite bloggers used our Reindeer Craft Stencil to create cheerful Holiday artwork. We'd like to welcome back Bonnie, the furniture makeover queen, and self-proclaimed craft nerd behind the blog Revolutionaries. Bonnie loves stenciling so she was super excited when we launched our new Holiday Stencil Collection. She commented, "Big news: they have a new Holiday Stencil Collection and they are oh-so-cute!" After browsing the new collection she fell in love with our Reindeer Craft Stencil. She had the perfect project in mind for the this whimsical reindeer pattern. Bonnie planned to create a large decorative ornament using the Reindeer Craft Stencil, a piece of burlap, and a large embroidery loop. She placed the burlap flat and then positioned the stencil on top. She used blue painter's tape to hold it in place. For this project, she used Jacquard Fabric Paint in Ruby Red. Then she used a dense foam roller to paint the pattern. The key to stenciling is using as little paint as possible. Too much paint will cause the design to bleed and smudge. After the paint was dry, Bonnie placed the stenciled fabric in the embroidery hoop and made sure her design was centered. To complete the ornament feel, Bonnie used a hot glue gun to adhere a top made out of card stock and glitter. Here is her adorable stenciled Christmas decoration!
