So Kelsey wanted to give it a try. She browsed our large collection of tile stencils and selected our Augusta Tile Stencil. This Portuguese- inspired pattern brings exotic flair to any floor or wall. Then she primed the existing tile floor. We like STIX primer for a project like this. Kelsey let the primer dry before she painted it with a floor paint in a white hue. She let the base coat of paint dry overnight and then she began stenciling. She used blue painter's tape to hold her Augusta Tile Stencil pattern in place. Then she painted the tile design in black using a small dense foam roller. After each section was complete, she would un-tape the stencil and reposition so the entire floor would be painted. Too much paint will cause the design to bleed. After the stencil was complete, Kelsey applied three coats of a waterbased clear coat to seal in her beautiful design. Are you ready for the big reveal?
