One Stencil, Two Projects: Casablanca Craft Stencil

I'm sure you always hear us touting how we produce reusable wall stencils, right? But after you complete your first stencil project, you're probably standing there thinking, "Now what?" Well before you go throwing that thing out because we did say it was reusable, I have some ideas for you! Whether you have a wall or craft stencil there are many things that you can stencil to get the most out of your stencil design. Oh, and we don't mean every wall in your house. Today we're going to show you how you can stencil a piece of furniture and your stairs using the same
craft stencil.
I want you meet Rachel, the interior designer/crafty diy blogger behind blog,
Silver Lining Decor. It all started out when Rachel ripped up carpeting in her home and replaced it with hardwood in several areas including the hallway. She wanted to keep the stairs as natural as possible but give them a gentle pop of character. To do this, she ended up staining the stair treads and then painting the stair risers. Rachel, if you read her blog, has no fear of color and pattern which is one of things we LOVE about her! She painted the stair risers a gorgeous shade of chartruese like Benjamin Moore's
chartreuse 2021-10. Then she stenciled the
Casablanca Craft Stencil in a white paint color. Rachel says, "It's a subtle detail, but really adds a fun element to something otherwise plain and ordinary." We think stenciled stairs are absolutely awesome, don't you?!
Rachel didn't stop there! Not only did she have that ole' stenciling itch, but she's resourceful too! Using the same
Casablanca Craft Stencil, Rachel decided to tackle another completely different stenciling
project. Rachel was working on designing her baby boy's nursery. As she was putting the room together, she decided to use an old boring white cabinet that offered a decent amount of storage. Rachel painted the inside part of the cabinet with some leftover turquoise wall paint, similar to Benjamin Moore's
turquoise powder 2057-50. Then she reused her craft stencil to complete this awesome design! Rachel says, "A little paint and stencil turned this drab cabinet to a whimsical storage spot in the nursery." We love this whimsical look!
